Cheung Sha Wan
History
As suggested by its Chinese name, was once a sandy bay. It stretches roughly from the road butterfly West Valley today Yen Chow Street to the east. The beach was a gathering place for many fishermen Tanka before its development. Economy

Events
In April 2006, a total of 580 shells left by the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong was found buried in Tonkin Street, Cheung Sha Wan. Residents were temporarily evacuated, and the shells were detonated safely.
Recovery Kowloon West
Bay Cheung Sha Wan was claimed in several phases in the 20th century. The last application in 1990 expanded the area near the Stonecutters Island. The presentation of the construction industry and repairs in the old bank were removed from the island and the sites have been replaced by housing private areas built in the area in early 2000.
Housing
Several private properties were built on a former site of a shipyard owner moved to the beginning of the recovery of West Kowloon, or land reclaimed from the sea beside him.
Aqua Marina.

Banyan Garden (Chinese:) comprises seven towers. Each of the tallest towers (tower 2, 6 and 7) has 57 floors and the ceiling height is 191 meters (627 feet). They are among the highest of 100 residential worldwide since the complex was completed in 2003.
Libert comprises seven residential towers, five of which are among the 100 tallest buildings in the city. Towers 1, 2 and 3, each rising 181 meters (594 feet), 5 and 6 towers rising 180 meters (591 feet) The complex was completed in 2003.
Pacifica (Traditional Chinese) complex consists of about 2,000 condominiums in six towers housing, each among the 70 tallest buildings of the city. The towers, numbered 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7, each increase of 197 meters (646 feet) and 50 to 66 apartments, construction began in 2002 and the complex was completed in 2006.
A new subdivision called Hoi Lai Estate Public (formerly called Hoi Lai Court before the government became a public housing area) is located in the region and has been paying rent the most expensive in the district of Sham Shui Po

Transportation
The area is served by two stations of MTR Tsuen Wan Line:
Station Cheung Sha Wan and
Lai Chi Kok Station.
Lai Chi Kok Station is actually located in Lai Chi Kok, Cheung Sha Wan but. The fact that references to Cheung Sha Wan is in many buildings and services near Lai Chi Kok station continues to be a source of confusion for many.
