Ragini Gallery presents Rohit Sharmaâ € ™ s Romance with roads of Delhi
New Delhi: With the objective of supporting the new contemporary artists, Ragini Gallery presents Romancing the Road, a solo art exhibition by Rohit Sharma in The Choko, Khan Market, New Delhi, November 13, 2009 to December 10, 2009.
Whata € ™ is interesting is that the opening of the exhibition will be marked by an evening of poetry for art curator Alka Raghuvanshi, poets Robinson, Laxmi Shankar Vajpayee and Ravinder Malhotra. Says Nidhi Jain, Director Ragini Gallery: â € œArt and poetry are linked endless and evoke feelings unit. Both reflect the sensitive souls trying to create, understand and contribute to the growth of man to the highest level. Thanks in this effort to bring the two art forms together, trying to explore the romance between poetry and art in an evening of poets reading their works, including works of art and people who love and care about art and the € poetry.â
Returning exposure, Labeo € ™ s works focus on the nuances of everyday life related to the inland city. Rohit Sharma said: â € œEvery city has a way to include people in their own way. The diversity of Delhi there is extremely a spell-binding view of ancient monuments, medieval and modern, giving it a unique identity of New Delhi. The roads leading to these criteria have their own stories to tell. These works therefore speak of Delhi, age, cultural heritage and rich constant € growth.â
Rohita € ™ s novel of the road has a timeless quality about it because it documents the different periods and the transition took place. His fascination with the small details makes subtle works that offers a new perspective for the viewer to wonder if more than one way that only the recipient.
The cow, which plays an integral part of work is at a crossroads in the changing urban landscape. Interact with the maze of roads converging diverging rohita ™ € s cows are in a state of question, answer, the conflict, the dilemma and most of the time in contemplation, meditation.
Rohit explores the idea Kamadhenu cow mythical fulfilling all the wishes and desires that is true today € ™ s context. A shows the impotence of Kamadhenu painted black, showing that it is impossible for Kamadhenu well to meet the needs of today € ™ s time. His description of black Kamadhenu all white and shows that many are two sides of same coin.
