Nasonex a nasal spray for allergy relief
What is Nasonex?
The main ingredient of Nasonex, mometasone, is a steroid and it works by preventing the release of medications that are responsible for causing inflammation in the body. Nasonex may be used for treating other health conditions that are not mentioned above.
Before you start using Nasonex, tell your doctor if you are suffering from an infection of sickness. Ensure that you tell our doctor if you are suffering from herpes simplex infection, tuberculosis, cataract or glaucoma. Also, it might take time, depending on the individual case, to see results. At times, it takes around 14 days to see good results.
Continue using this medication for good results. Tell your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 7 days of using Nasonex nasal spray. To ensure that this drug does not cause harmful side effects, especially on your nose and sinuses, visit your doctor regularly and check your progress.
Physical growth is affected by this medication and if you notice that you are not growing normally after taking this medication, tell your doctor about it. Do not use this medication if you are allergic to mometasone or any of its ingredients. Also, do not forget to tell your doctor if you have been sick recently. At times, patients are not prescribed Nasonex until they get well. People who are suffering from perennial allergic rhinitis or those who have symptoms of season allergic rhinitis may take this drug. It should be taken around 2 to 4 weeks before the onset of the pollen season.
The pump spray has a watery suspension of mometasone furoate and glycerine. It also contains microcrystalline cellulose, benzalkonium, chloride, polysorbate 80 and carboxymethycellulose sodium. These ingredients help the individual to get allergy relief.
Side effects
Regular use of this drug can lower your immunity. So, if you are using it, avoid going near people who are affected with some type of sickness or infection. Also, contact your doctor immediately if you are exposed to chickenpox as it can be fatal if you overlook it while using Nasonex. Try your best to keep this medication our of your yes. And in case that happens, you should rinse it with water and call your doctor.
As is the case with other medications, Nasonex affects different people in different ways. The following are some of the side effects, which are associated with this drug. Side effects are not experienced by all who use this medicine. It is possible that some people do not experience side effects at all.

Always shake the bottle well before use and pump six or seven times until uniform spray is produced. Any spray that is remaining in the bottle should be disposed off within two months after the bottle is opened.
