Quick meal ideas for busy families
If you're like me, who struggles with the idea of what to serve your family at mealtimes. The day seems to me away and I watch the clock .. 5:15! I have not even thought about dinner. With activities for children, housework, animal care and who can forget the "work" meal planning can be very difficult. In fact, it was a challenge to Gourmet to go it encounters. These mixes are easy to prepare food and require only one or two ingredients (eg cheese cream, tomatoes, sour cream, or water). Whenever I have something to do and now I have a use for leftover food that does not seem to want to eat. These mixtures are delicious on their own when prepared as directed. I was able to "change things a bit and gather my own variations in some popular blends.
Jambalaya (also known as the perfect manufacturer)
This mixture, In my humble opinion, is better than the popular store bought mixes. I love this mix when they have extra cooked chicken or chorizo. The mixture needs water, tomato sauce and a choice of meat. I would add at least two types of meat when they do. It is hot "spark" that my husband and I just love.
casserole potato cheese
This is a very flat which can be made a great breakfast food! It requires water, cheese and a can of cheese soup Campbell. My friend decided he would make a good breakfast dish to make for brunch. Well, she was right! It does the dishes, mixed in some preparations of scrambled eggs and sausages cooked breakfast and topped with a little cheese melted on top. Guests at the brunch all I had to have the recipe! What a HIT!
Peanut Butter Cake
This delicious cake mix was introduced recently at the Gourmet To Go product line. It requires a block of cheese 8 oz tub of cream 8 oz cream whipped. Mix and pour over prepared crust (Oreo cracker, biscuits with butter). It requires no peanut butter. I like to do things a little. I added about 5 cups crumbled Reeses to the mixture and put in a layer of chocolate. Talk about YUM!
I was able to set up a fast food for my family with these wonderful gourmet blends. However, I can not fail to mention that many other traditional media I could use to go gourmet. These food mixes make excellent gifts for friends, neighbors and teachers. Prepare mixtures of few (Cold Weather Chili, Corn Fritters and Hush Puppy Mix Apple Spice Cake Mix) and a fall perfect gift wrapping or holiday gift. At Christmas time, I want to build a small gift bag with some of my favorite cakes and dessert mixes. I can get comments and questions about products all year!
