Theme Park Accidents happen, but not reported, although
One of the great pleasures of summer is a trip to an amusement park. Disney World to Sea World to Universal Studios, theme parks, enjoying a steady stream of visitors who delight throughout the summer.
Unfortunately, not all rest and play. Each year, reports of injury or death amusement parks filter our country. Mega rides, such as glass towers and extreme heart fall, are undoubtedly the main attraction. But they are also a potential threat to health and safety. Although theme parks reported that incidents of injuries and deaths are low compared to the total number of visitors is the fact that it still happens. And it can happen to you.
Here are some examples:
• At Universal Studios in within 4 months, three passengers back pain and neck pain, and reported a broken back, after riding the ride Ripsaw Falls water-channel.
• In flight Disney World Ride Peter Pan, a man was pinned between the vehicles ride while trying to board the cargo area of moving sidewalk.
• At SeaWorld, the right thumb a 7-year-old was bitten by a dolphin. SeaWorld officials said that any change in the attraction were planned by the incident.
The theme park employees are at risk. Numerous incidents have occurred in which employees suffered injury or death during their employment, including:
• A trainer at SeaWorld was hospitalized after orca trainer leg injured by falling under the water twice.
• An employee at Disney World was struck and killed by a tank while he played the character of Pluto in the afternoon Magic Kingdom parade.
• An acrobat fell on his head during a SeaWorld water performance show a maneuver that forced him to slide down on a pole.
Many people do not realize that, although safety drive at carnivals and fairs is regulated by the State of Florida, large amusement parks like Disneyland SeaWorld and Universal Studios are subject to inspection by the state. These parks are self-inspection, pursuant to an agreement with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Consumers, called "Memorandum of Understanding, which provides for parks use their own teams maintenance to inspect the accident report and death in the state and annual safety presentations.
